LACOURTE RAQUIN & ASSOCIÉS WELCOMES NADIA HADDAD AS PARTNER AND LAUNCHES ITS RESTRUCTURING PRACTICE

Lacourte Raquin & Associés announces that Nadia Haddad has joined the firm as a partner to establish and grow a dedicated Restructuring practice. Associate Pierre Longuet joins with her.

The new practice broadens the firm’s offering. It will work closely with the firm’s M&A, Real Estate, Finance, Tax and Litigation teams, serving a shared client base of major corporate groups, investors, financial institutions and executives.

Nadia Haddad has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2012. She acts in amicable proceedings (mandat ad hoc and conciliation) and in insolvency proceedings (safeguard, judicial reorganisation and judicial liquidation). Her clients are French and international and include debtors, creditors, shareholders, investors, banks, acquirers and executives. She handles both advisory and litigation matters across a wide range of industries.

She also has recognised experience in debt restructuring, complex litigation and distressed M&A. In recent years she has worked on leading restructurings such as Orpea and Technicolor. She has also advised major players in the French and international markets, including the French State Shareholding Agency (Agence des participations de l’État), RTE, banks, investment funds and large industrial groups. She regularly works in the energy and biotech sectors.

Nadia Haddad is a founding member of the Association des Jeunes Professionnels du Restructuring (AJR) and a member of the Association pour le Retournement des Entreprises (ARE). She holds the Magistère de Juriste d’Affaires and a Master 2 in Business Law from Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas, as well as the DJCE (Diplôme de Juriste Conseil d’Entreprise) in corporate law.

“I am delighted to join Lacourte Raquin & Associés to create and develop the Restructuring practice alongside the firm’s well-established areas of expertise. The way the teams complement each other, and how close they are to their clients, make this an ideal place to build this practice. Restructuring is precisely a field that requires bringing several areas of expertise together around a single situation,” says Nadia Haddad.

“Nadia’s arrival reflects our commitment to keep enriching the firm with expertise that directly meets our clients’ needs. Restructuring naturally sits at the crossroads of several of our practices. It strengthens our ability to support clients both in their strategic transactions and in the more complex situations they may face,” says Vincent Guinot, Managing Partner of Lacourte Raquin & Associés.

“We also know how to open our doors when we meet someone we really click with. The firm has grown by welcoming strong personalities and new areas of expertise, as we have done in recent years with François de Bérard and Guillaume Roche. Nadia fits perfectly into this approach,” adds David Sorel, Managing Partner.

“Another feature of our model is that it allows the firm’s lawyers to build their own client base quickly. Our clients are very largely shared across several practices. That naturally gives young lawyers the chance to build their own relationships with clients, support them on new matters and, over time, develop their own practice. This is central to our entrepreneurial culture,” continues David Sorel.

With this new practice, Lacourte Raquin & Associés continues to develop a business law offering built on complementary areas of expertise and an integrated approach to its clients’ needs.
