In an article recently published in the Bulletin Juridique des Contrats Publics, Benoit Neveu and Philippe Terneyre review the principle of impartiality in the award of public contracts and the need to anticipate conflicts of interest. As the authors note, given the sanctions that are now attached to this principle of impartiality, this prevention has become essential to the legal security of public contracts.
